7 Day Diet Plan for Weight Loss

A 7 day diet plan for weight loss gives you a week's time to eat preplanned meals. Following a rigorous diet regime, people opt for this diet to lose as much weight as possible. Keep reading to find out how...

When I began my research on this 7 day diet plan for weight loss, I was wondering how a week's plan would look like. The diet that I was familiar with was the cabbage soup diet where all you consume is just the soup. However, it came to my notice that there are people on the 7 day detox diet where along with the soup, they are also eating healthy meals. The plan has a unique method which helps you reach a specific weight loss goal and that's what we are going to be doing here today. We will go over the plan in the following article. As you read the article, you will understand what the diet consists of and how to stay on track.

What Happens in 7 Days?

What is this diet all about? A healthy weight loss program where the diet focuses on eating right, mainly fruits and vegetables, lean meat, and fish. A strong concentration is kept on exercise and the consumption of alcohol, aerated drinks, and junk foods are eliminated. We all know that in order to lose weight and bring our life back on a healthier track, it's vital that healthy living habits are adopted. Instead of eating foods and consuming beverages filled with unhealthy fat content and unnecessary calories, eating healthy foods is preferred. This way, a person can easily reshape their mind, body, and soul.

But among these weekly diet plans, the cabbage soup diet is one of the more popular diet regimes followed by many fitness enthusiasts. But you may be wondering what this plan is and how can someone use this plan to lose weight? The weight loss program is divided into 7 days, each day making up for a set menu. In the following article, we will be concentrating on this diet. The foods included in those days are supposed to be followed to the tee, no distractions or substitutes, and stopped after the seventh day is over. Below we will learn in more detail about this diet.

Cabbage Soup Diet

There are tons of diets and programs designed specifically to help you lose weight. Now one such diet is the diet. As the name suggests, the diet is a challenging weight loss method where you literally put your health and body through a radical change. Why? Because here for an entire week's time, you will only consume a specific menu. The diet is designed in such a way that it motivates burning fat. The combination of foods that are to be consumed each day have a jump-start effect on your body so that it can 'wake up' and help you lose weight.

This diet for weight loss gives you the freedom to drink as much soup as you like since it is low in calories. But don't worry, the recipe isn't just boiled cabbage leaves in water with salt and pepper. To make this diet work and keep people motivated, the recipe includes other fresh vegetables that are low in calories such as onions, green peppers, green beans, celery, tomatoes, etc. By adding various herbs and spices, you can make several variations so that the soup doesn't bore you for the entire week. Each day, you can make a different flavored soup to satisfy your taste buds. Apart from drinking this soup, of course, there are other essential foods that have to be included in your diet. We have given you a sample below that shows you what are all the foods that can be chosen to include in your diet.

Don't Forget the Snacks

What we are aiming for here is not to deprive or starve yourself; that is a big no-no. You have to eat in order to fuel your body and give it the essential nutrients to last a day. So what are we focusing on then? Eating sensibly and cutting down on all the unnecessary food items that actually don't really help you. Apart from eating 3 healthy portions everyday, you can indulge in 2 light snacks as well. For snacks, there are tons of choices like...

  • Fat-free Greek yogurt w/sliced strawberries
  • Fat-free cottage cheese w/salsa
  • Baby carrots and toasted pecans
  • Fat-free vanilla yogurt w/sliced apple
  • Fat-free mozzarella string cheese sticks
  • Plain popcorn, air-popped
  • Yogurt parfait w/raspberries
  • Skim milk smoothie w/sliced berries and low-fat yogurt
  • Nut granola bar w/fruits
  • Fruits except bananas and fruit juices.

Keep a log of the total number of calories consumed and lost (by exercises and other physical activities). This way, you can easily stay on track, won't go over your daily calorie count, and be able to lose weight; depending on whether your daily intake is 1000, 1200, 1400, or 2000 calories. Throughout the week, you are not allowed to drink any kind of alcoholic beverages, aerated drinks, and diet sodas, or eat bread. Along with the benefits of quick weight loss, there are certain side effects which you should be aware of. Which is why, before you make the decision to begin, it's necessary to consult with your doctor. Given your medical history and current health condition, your doctor would be the best judge if you should or shouldn't go for this diet.

In order to reduce weight in 7 days, often times people end up hurting themselves in the end. Which is why proper guidance is recommended when you're thinking of investing your time and health in this diet program.

Finally, I would like to add that even though this diet may seem like the fastest way to lose weight, it is not recommended for obese people or those who want to lose a considerable amount of weight. Our body doesn't work that way and if you pressure it into doing something it isn't comfortable with, you may end up making things worse.
